Az alapító

Lloyd V. Guild (1920-2009) Pittsburgh-ben, 1962-ben alapította a céget. Híresen szerény ember volt, "Mr. G" néven egyszerű alkalmazottként vett részt a mindennapi munkákban. Munkatársai védelmében még akkor sem dolgoztatott az olcsó külföldi piacon, amikor az jelentős profit-csökkenést jelentett. Több száz árva tanítását ill. a Gideons International tagjaként keresztény iskolák finanszírozását vállalta.

dr. Heather Neel Ahlborn írta róla:

I started at SKC just after college - I had a liberal arts degree and no idea what to do with it. I worked for a while in Purchasing and then Lloyd made me his assistant, working in Purchasing and Operations. I've always felt that God had a plan when he led me to SKC - and Lloyd Guild was part of that plan. He was my boss, my mentor and inspiration. I decided to continue my education and Lloyd paid for my tuition out of his own pocket. When I decided to go to graduate school full-time, Lloyd understood and wished me well. I now have my PhD in chemistry and a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry - all inspired by Lloyd and his belief in me. I will forever be in debt to him and only hope that one day I can do for someone else what Lloyd has done for me.
